Ultimately, what I fail to understand is why anyone would want their country’s commander-in-chief down sinking suds at Moe’s Tavern with them, or buying shoes at the mall with them, when their chosen candidates should be sorting out details like figuring out how to manage an expanding national debt-load which will soon require another word that rhymes with ‘illion’ to describe how big it is. And what about environmental disasters, and the decidedly lacking educational system in the United States? Shouldn’t trips to the bar be made to wait a bit until these problems are addressed? Why wouldn’t you want a leader who is WAY smarter than you, and who has an instinct for translating public opinion into policy without taking any shit off political maneuvering mouthpieces for private interests?

Of course, with our PM up here who wants to be in with the cool kids down where you are, we have our own work cut out for us.
